In small ...Exactly why "big" politics doesn't work. In small town elections, people ARE courted "one at a time," for the most part. I remember living in a township of 68 people. Even a presidential election was held in the horse barn and we wrote our "votes" in pencil on little slips of paper and deposited them in a box with a big padlock on it. The box was carefully guarded by the registrar who knew everyone by name. Oh yes, she would know if you tried to vote twice.
