These are the graphics I worked up this weekend for my Christmas cards. The central graphics were downloaded from the net over the years. Since I didn't make the pictures I'm only posting them on my journals.
I have a good friend who loves cardinals
Cardinals aren't usually found on the west coast. We have the beautiful deep blue Stellar's jays. I haven't seen any art work with them.
Even the animals get into the act.
And Santa has special gifts for the other children too. Even if they have four legs and wings.
The backgrounds were done with multple layers in Photoshop. But I had fun making them. And even some fun printing them. My old Epson printer does a good job but it does need a little coaxing.

These aew wonderful! I love cardinals, too but, since moving West have grown very fond of the Stellar's jays. They are so friendly and lovely. Great job!
I love to LOOK at cardinals, but I do not like to HEAR them! The cardinal couple outside our bedroom window have "songs" which are not pleasing to the ear....at 6:30 AM.

Tell Russ to send his cardinals my way :) Lisa :-]
Wow, I'm impressed! :)
All of these are EXACTLY the kinds of illustrations I choose for my cards year after year. Some folks around here go for saguaros with Santa hats or coyote carolers, but as much as I adore the desert, at Christmas my inner child comes out, the one that should have been born and raised in a New England village. A few years ago our card was so similar to card #2. We do get the occasional scarlet cardinal here, as well as a cousin they call the desert cardinal (pyrrhuloxia--a brown version), but of course the snowy background is rare. I just found my cards for next year on the clearance table--a white-spired chapel on a snowy crystal night with deer looking on. Right on, Jackie!
