I GUESS I CAN UNDERSTAND

why politicians court these blocks of voters. If they think alike hopefully they'll vote alike, too. It's a bit like the money boys and girls who want nominees decided as soon as possible so they'll know which horse to back in hopes of a better return on their investment.

Easier to court a block than to try to court us prickly, square pegs. They have to court us one.......at.......a.......time. Which leaves the prickly square pegs saying to ourselves and to them "tell me again why doing it this way is a good thing." Because I'm having a really hard time seeing it right now.

Exactly why "big" politics doesn't work. In small town elections, people ARE courted "one at a time," for the most part. I remember living in a township of 68 people. Even a presidential election was held in the horse barn and we wrote our "votes" in pencil on little slips of paper and deposited them in a box with a big padlock on it. The box was carefully guarded by the registrar who knew everyone by name. Oh yes, she would know if you tried to vote twice. Hahaha. --Cin

I just vote for the least objectionable person...I can't even remember voting another way.  :(
