Don Imus's sponsors, network and corporate remind me of the police inspector in Casablanca. He's "shocked, absolutely shocked" to discover that gambling has been occuring nightly at Rick's place. Of course he's being handed his most recent winnings at the time. LOL
I guess they thought ol' Don had been inviting the vicar over for tea all this time. Yeah, they'd been discussing croquet over tea and crumpets.

Still, I can't help feeling that this dog has been rewarded for biting people for twenty years...and now he's being fired for biting someone.
Believe me...Imus' audience is big enough that SOMEONE will hire him, within days, to continue to do what he does. Didn't this same thing happen to Howard Stern a couple of years ago? And didn't he come out smelling like a (shitty) rose? Lisa :-]
What kills me is that IMadoofUSs has been spewing hateful crap for a long time now....and he's just now being caught. He once said that the term "greedy jew" was redundant. I'm glad he's out of a job, but I'm sorry that he's amassed a fortune already.

I'm glad that a-hole is gone. You know what brought him down? Bloggers and the internet. This newsstory would never have caught up were it not for the new "digital democracy". It's forcing a lot of things out into the open that used to be ignored by the mainstream media.
I think Laura has a point. It used to be just the ratings numbers that indicated success for these a**holes. I guess the radio execs figured if the ratings were high, it meant that these idiots were really what America wanted to hear. The internet has given the "Silent Majority" a voice...
